Judge Kelly's comments: What a tremendous heifer show this afternoon! It's an honor for me to be here today and I'm really looking forward to tomorrow. Let's show our appreciation to the exhibitors for a fine display of cattle. I really like my a pattern for heifers. I like well balanced, beautiful heifers with a good combination of strength and angularity. I like them to have enough good rib to go on and be good cows. And with that, I pulled out some heifers that really were what I was looking for. Some weren't the largest in their class, but they don't have to be for me. They just have to be correct.

For my junior champion, I'm going with the fall yearling. She's got so much style and balance and an uphill walk to her. She's got a beautiful set of feet and legs as well. For my reserve, I'm going with the spring yearling. She shows me a little more maturity and a little smoother blending of parts through the neck and shoulder than my beautiful winter calf who will be honorable mention today. Thank you.
