Judge Van Exel's comments: Before we congratulate our champions, I just have to take a moment and thank the Big E for having me. I've always heard a lot about this show and I can tell you that after today, I have not been disappointed. It has been a tremendous show, all the way through the cows and heifers. It's a great honor for me to see these cows, place these cows and I appreciate being asked to do it. I have to thank my wife and family for their support, and thank everyone at the Big E who has been working hard to make this show run smoothly.

It's satisfying to me to see these four cows out here for the grand champion title. What tremendous quality we've seen in the cow show and although it makes my job tougher, it makes it a lot more fun!

In my mind, it's a close placing for grand champion, but I'm going with our senior champion today. She's just a little more cow, has a little more drop to the fore rib and a little more bloom in the udder.

For reserve, I'm going with the intermediate champion. I just love how she moves on her feet and legs.

My honorable mention today is my reserve intermediate champion. She more closely follows the pattern of my champions today.
