Judge's comments:
Well folks, I don't know where Michael is, but I'm pretty revved up myself! This show gets better and deeper and deeper every year. What a group of great legged heifers. They're well balanced. They've got rib, high chines, great feet and legs. If you would please join me in showing your appreciation for this group of heifers. I pulled out five heifers, and taking nothing away from the heifers still standing in the ring, but these five are what Justin and I agreed on. I pulled out my fall yearling - what a big, massive lady, but she moves around on good wheels. She's high in the chine, wide pinned and if you hear judges using the term of a combination of strength & dairyness, here is what it is. She's as wide as a freight train and got a long leg to go along with it. I pulled out the winter yearling. She's a lady. She's got a long neck, high chine, sharp as a tack and a good rib structure. I pulled out the spring yearling who's got all the style and balance in the world. She's flat boned, high chined and super dairy. The fall calf is super stylish, she's fancy and white, she's wide in the pins, very well balanced and has a nice, flat bone in her hock. The spring baby calf - boy if you don't fall in love with her, you don't need to be here! She is some fancy. And her sister (the 2nd place spring calf) ain't bad either. I believe I'd flush that cow again! Whether or not you agree with me, please give these exhibitors a huge round of applause!
