Honorable Mention Grand Champion: Bobmur Kite Nina, 1st Senior 3-Year-Old, Bobmur Farms/Todd Whittier/Silvercap Holsteins
"I decided to keep all seven cows for the selection of Grand Champion because I believe they all deserve to be in the middle of the ring. First, I would like to thank the show committee of Holstein Canada for putting my name on the ballot to judge. Second, I want to thank all of the breeders & exhibitors. You guys are important to me. You value your cows and I thank you for presenting to me to place them. I want everybody to put their hands together to congratulate the breeders and exhibitors for the cattle at today's show. Thanks to Murray (ring steward) - thank you alot for your help. It is always easy to work with you. Thanks to my girlfriend France - she always supports me and lets me go around the world for judging and showing. She knows its what I love to do - its a pleasure for me to do. I want to thank the fitters in the barn. I know what you have done - especially in these last two days. Its a short time to get cattle ready - and long working days. I want to congratulate you. I think they deserve a round of applause. Just one more thing, to everybody around the ring - to show cattle and judge, and get the cattle ready and show them, we need patience. To show cattle it takes 365 days a year, because tomorrow we need to have them bred back to show next year.
On that I will select my Grand, Reseve and Honorable Mention in that order. I hope you enjoy the way I will place them. After I select them, please give them a round of applause.
For me it was easy, the pair of 4-Year-Olds. Those two cows go together. For same reason in class, first over second, the way she stands on her feet and legs. The second 4-Year-Old for Reserve over the Sr. 3-Year-old for Honorable Mention for her advantage in more openness and dairyness, the depth of fore and rear rib over the stylish and beautiful mammary system on the Sr. 3-Year-Old."
