"What an extremely nice heifer show today.  If this is any indication of how the cow show will go tomorrow, I'll be up bright and early and ready to roll!  I pulled out my winter calf.  She is so pretty it hurts.  She's got style.  I can't quit looking at her.  I just love her dairyness, her strength and her depth.  My senior calf - she's nothing fancy, but she's just good.  She's balanced, has lots of rib and angularity.  She's got width and power - she's my kind.  Our summer yearling is the same way.  She's wide chested, deep ribbed, hard topped and big hipped.  And our pair of winter yearlings are very similar heifers.  When you view them from behind, they both have tremendous rib.  They're massive and long bodied, stylish heifers.

I'll tell you, I'd go out and shake hands, but I just need to say that December calf - she's just my kind!  She'll be our junior champion today.  And for reserve, I'm going with my summer yearling.  If we were to pick an honorable mention, it would be that senior calf."
