First of all, I would like to thank Quim for his assistance in helping me place these wonderful animals today.  In the middle of the ring, I would like everyone to congratulate these exhibitors for a fantastic heifer show. I must say that we both were ecstatic when we watched these animals walk in. We tried to find a pattern including open rib, style, correctness and dairyness. We are very comfortable with how we have placed the animals today, but we must name a champion. These final four heifers for me are the kind that we really like - they have few faults, they're easy on eyes; heifers that move very well and look to us as though they'll grow to make great cows, assuming they'll come with fantastic udders in the future.

The december calf - she grabbed ahold of me and I really admire her for her total package
The summer yearling - she was an easy winner within her class and is open, dairy and has extreme width throughout
The winter yearling - we admire her overall scale, correctness and length of frame
The senior yearling - she dominated in her class with her correctness, dairyness and openness

We could select any of these heifers for Junior Champion, but today it comes down to overall correctness, dairyness and quality and the best heifer is this heifer right here (fall yearling). For reserve it gets close. I talked about this december calf, however she doesn't have the maturity of this winter yearling today, that will be your reserve. This red winter calf will have her day, she is amazing and could compete very well on Friday afternoon here for the black and white show.  Congratulations.
