We've got a beautiful class of Spring Calves to start the show with. Starting with a calf that when she comes in the ring, you appreciate her balance and correctness throughout. She doesn't wow you because of her neck, but she is strong and deep and moves out on a great set of feet and legs. I will admit that the calf in second is longer in her neck, but she doesn't have the power and strength to win the class today. The first place calf has more width and strength than the beautiful dairy calf in second. She catches your eye as she travels the outside of the ring with great openness and silky hide. The calf in second uses her strength in the loin to go over long framed calf in third, the youngest calf in class, and I appreciate the length and depth of fore rib and strength up front on this calf and she has a little more width all the way back through than the calf in forth.
