"What another tremendous class. I'm starting with a heifer that's so massive and has so much width throughout. It's her width of rump and being a little wider and flatter in the rump that puts her over our second place heifer. Our second heifer is really correct and tracks on a beautiful set of feet & legs, the most desirable set of feet & legs in the class. But she just doesn't have the frame to go over the heifer in first. Second over third - this heifer in third gave me a little bit of trouble. I'd like to see her a little more level over the top and she's just not handling very well today. She lacks the flank and spring to her rear rib to get her over the first and second heifers. But it is her overall size and length and more correct slope from hooks to pins that puts her over the heifer in fourth."
