"Let's have a great big hand for the juniors and the quality heifer show they've had this morning.  Just an incredible heifer show today, from the March calves all the way through the senior yearlings.  Extreme quality throughout.  I pulled a few heifers to the side that are my kind of heifers.  They are long, dairy, have beautiful feet & legs and wide, flat rumps.  I pulled out our March calf - just a lovely black and silky calf. Our fall calf - a lovely open, dairy calf with a wide, flat rump.  I pulled out the spring yearling - when you watch her walk, she just catches your eye with an amazing front end and sweep to the rib.  Our second spring yearling - a young heifer in class, but one with extreme size.  Our winter yearling - the same kind of heifer.  She has a little extra conditioning but a wide rump with flat bone and very correct.  And our two senior yearlings - well grown heifers with beautiful spring to the rib and heifers that are really correct.

When it comes down to it, there's one heifer that as she comes around the ring, she just grabs you and that's our first spring yearling.  What an amazing heifer with an uphill run and openness/sweep to her rib.  She'll be our junior champion today.  And if that young man with the senior calf would pull his heifer out for reserve.  His calf spells dairyness and openness.  I admire her quality.  For honorable mention, I'm going with our March calf.  What an extreme calf with extreme length.

Congratulations to all!"
