"What a tremendous class of winter calves with good depth all the way through. I'm starting with this lovely heifer in first who tracks on a beautiful set of feet and legs and is longer and stronger in the pastern. It's this length and her strength in the loin that places her over another silky calf that we have in second. Second over third because of her tremendous quality of dairyness and strength. I just love the openness and sweep of rib in our third place calf, but she needs just a little more strength in the crops and chest to go any higher today. When you get her in line, I just love the way this third place calf stands on her hind legs - she's a little cleaner and straighter than our fourth place calf."
