Judge's Comments - "Let's give a round of applause for all the juniors that have worked so hard today. I don't normally bring out this many, but when you have animals and exhibitors that place that high in the open classes, they deserve a lot of credit for that. I pulled out the December calf - a calf that was second in class and I admire her quality of dairyness and balance. I pulled out the pair of senior calves who are very similar and that's why I pulled them both out. I pulled out the two junior yearlings - what a great pair of heifers. And I pulled out the winter yearling who was second in her class in the open show. What a great accomplishment for these juniors and when it comes down to it I have to go with the calf that I think will go on and do the best and the one that's the most ready today. In my opinion, it's this senior calf. For reserve, it gets a little closer, but I've talked about correctness and blending of parts and they don't always need to be the biggest to be the best and today, that's our winter yearling. For honorable mention, I'm going with this junior yearling."
